The PTA is sponsoring a fundraiser.  Our students have the opportunity to sell chocolate bars.  The chocolate will be sent home on Friday the 30th with the students who are selling.  In order to sell, a student must turn in a blue permission slip signed by their parents.  The fundraiser will run from January 30th until February 13th.

We are searching for any students who live within the school boundaries and will be attending kindergarten at our school next year.  If you are the parent of or know a child who will turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2015, please click here for an information form that can be completed and turned in to the office.  If an older child attends Lake View, he or she can return this form to the office before January 30 and get a prize.

Attention Parents,

Lake View Elementary will be administering the SAGE writing test to all students in 3rd – 5th grade.  Testing will be held from February 10-February 20.  The SAGE writing assessment is a new and challenging writing assessment that every student in Utah in grades 3-12 will be completing.  The test is taken on the computer and is based on curriculum that is taught that year in school.  Obviously, more is expected of a fifth grader than would be of a third grader.  Students will be asked to complete two separate writing tasks.  One will be persuasive in nature and the other informational.  Our students and teachers have been working hard to prepare for this test.  We appreciate their efforts!
