The application deadline for the 2014 first grade dual-immersion
program was February 14, 2014. At the deadline, Lake View had received
over 90 applications. Unfortunately, we can only accept 60 students into
the first grade program. We are grateful for the interest in our Spanish
dual-immersion program. Because of the large numbers of applications we
received, a lottery was held at the district office on February 20th.
The lottery was conducted by Mary Kay Kirkland, assistant superintendent, as
well as other district staff members. The lottery was witnessed by
several parents and other school staff members. A letter has been sent
home to each applicant informing them of the results. If you have been
selected in the lottery, you must contact the school to confirm that you will
accept enrollment in the first grade dual-immersion program. If you have
questions, please contact the principal.
